ARMS ATP series Pneumatic Toggle presses are designed to work at low pneumatic pressure generates up to 3 Ton force by using Mechanical wedge intensifier.
ATP series presses has the lowest operating cost and economical compared to any hydraulic or mechanical press. These presses has short stroke and normally used for clinching, piercing, stamping bending, embossing, riveting etc.
These presses are rigid and compact, yet very fast in operation. Hydraulic power unit can be avoided where ever consistent pneumatic supply available, which make the same much more economical.
Precision ram slide movement and extended wear life achieved by the perfect linear guide arrangement for the stroke with forced lubrication.
These presses are also available in manual lever operated version up to 3 Ton capacity on request. Machine can be made according to the customer requirement.
ARMS Toggle presses are extremely versatile and can be used for assembly, pressing, joining, bending, crimping, riveting, punching, glueing and much more. Our presses cover the capacity range from 30 N to 100 kN ( 0,3 kpf to 5 tons).
Toggle presses are manually operated bench-top presses. Like all toggle presses the press force is generated with manual force applied to the lever, which starts up the transmission mechanism. The specialty of the toggle press is that while the long hand lever remains constant, the smaller lever is shortened during the press stroke so that at the end of the stroke the manual force applied generates a large amount of press force.
The maximisation of compressive force is caused by the double, moveable suspension of the connect-ing lever, which is located between the toggle lever and the plunger. That is why toggle presses are also called indirect-acting presses. The plunger conducted into the long, precisely honed plunger hole exerts a linear movement and transfers the force to the work piece. A spring, which is made taught with the stroke, not only makes the easy back-stroke of the press possible, but also gives the operator a feeling for the movement being executed through its initial tension. The factory precise adjusted limit stop ensures that the dead point of the press cannot be over-pressurised.. The position of the press head is infinitely adjustable using the controls on the press stand. This makes it possible to adjust the work height to accommodate the inserted tools and parts.
The exponential power flow towards the stroke end of Colour Line® toggle presses make them the ideal tool for work steps wherein full force is needed at the end of the stroke, for example for flanging, caulking, riveting, stamping, labelling and similar tasks.
Toggle presses are ideal for flexible application in the most different industrial branches and for the use of various different tools and parts. Typical areas of use are in the building of prototypes or the production of smaller and medium lot sizes, whereby a full automation would exceed the budget.
